In a disturbing case that unfolded over the past few years, Tekquan Alexander, an aspiring rapper, was found guilty on Tuesday of torture, assault, and corporal injury to a child in relation to the brutal abuse inflicted upon his 4-year-old daughter. The tragic incident occurred in November 2021 when the young girl was subjected to repeated and violent abuse by her father, resulting in catastrophic injuries to her brain and spine, broken bones, and numerous cuts and bruises.

The severity of the abuse left the child in a vegetative state, according to the Ventura County District Attorney's Office. Deputy District Attorney Rikole Kelly emphasized the unimaginable challenges the girl faces due to Alexander's reprehensible behavior, highlighting that the verdict brings a semblance of justice to the victim and all those profoundly affected by the case.

Further revelations from the case shed light on the circumstances leading up to the abuse. The girl's mother, Keyonna Watts, shared her heart-wrenching experience with The Shade Room, recounting the detective's shocking revelation that her daughter was "bleeding from the brain." Disturbing details emerged from the emergency room visit, where part of the girl's skull had to be removed to address the pressure from the bleeding.

According to court documents, Alexander justified his actions by labeling his daughter as a "bed-wetter" and subjecting her to punishing exercises coupled with physical abuse, such as hitting her with boxing gloves, a belt, and speaker wire. The heinous nature of the abuse underscores the urgent need to protect vulnerable children and ensure that perpetrators of child abuse face swift and just consequences for their reprehensible conduct.
