In a disturbing turn of events, David Andrew Ogden, aged 39, is facing a litany of charges including lewd and lascivious behavior, burglary with assault, and resisting arrest following his alleged intrusion into a neighbor's residence and violation of sleeping children. The unsettling incident unfolded in the early hours of September 7th, when the mother of the victims, while working as an Uber driver, received a troubling call from a friend alerting her to in-home cameras capturing Ogden inside a bedroom where her three children were asleep.

According to the probable cause arrest affidavit, the footage reportedly showed Ogden engaging in inappropriate behavior such as touching the children and taking photographs. Shockingly, Ogden went as far as rubbing one victim's legs, pulling down another's pants, and even engaging in lewd acts while sniffing one child's buttocks. The victim identified Ogden as a personal trainer at a local YMCA, adding another layer of betrayal to the horrific ordeal.

Ogden allegedly gained access to the home by entering through a mail slot, showing a disturbing level of familiarity with the layout. Law enforcement officers swiftly responded to the scene and managed to apprehend Ogden at his residence, where he was met with resistance during the arrest. Despite his attempts to evade custody, Ogden was subdued and taken into custody without bond, currently detained at Orange County Jail.

Of notable mention is the fact that Ogden is a relative of Dave Ogden, the police chief in Windermere, who released a statement to local media outlets addressing the shocking nature of the arrest. The investigation is ongoing, with Ogden's wife voluntarily surrendering his phone to authorities. The gravity of this case underscores the imperative need for vigilance and swift action to ensure the safety and security of our communities against such egregious acts.
