Accusations have surfaced that Marcee allegedly bound her elderly mother, Deborah Polhamus, to a chair, stole her phone, and caused property damage in an incident last November in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Marcee Gray, 43, was indicted in Ben Hill County on charges including exploitation and intimidation of an elderly person, false imprisonment, criminal damage to property, and theft. The abuse reportedly occurred after Marcee demanded her mother accompany her to confront her ex-partner, causing a physical altercation when Deborah refused to go. Consequently, Marcee purportedly taped her mother to a chair and confiscated her phone to prevent any interference with her plans.
Despite the distressing circumstances, Deborah Polhamus, the victim of the alleged abuse, expressed reluctance to witness her daughter face severe legal consequences. She advocated for Marcee to receive help for her reported drug addiction rather than solely facing punitive measures.
