Rapper Lil Durk, also known as Durk Banks, is embroiled in a complex legal battle as he faces additional felony charges stemming from a murder-for-hire scheme targeting fellow rapper Quando Rondo. The scheme tragically resulted in the death of Rondo's cousin, Saviay'a Robinson. A federal grand jury in Los Angeles has approved new charges against Lil Durk, positioning him as the lead defendant in the case.

The indictment reveals disturbing allegations of using, carrying, and discharging firearms, including a machine gun, in furtherance of a crime of violence resulting in death. Lil Durk's connection to the alleged plot involves his association with five individuals linked to his Only The Family (OTF) label—Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston.

The chilling details of the murder-for-hire plot orchestrated by the defendants unfold through surveillance, coordination, and sinister intent. Prosecutors claim that the group meticulously tracked and stalked Quando Rondo with the intention of carrying out a murder at a gas station in Los Angeles. They allege that Lil Durk had placed a monetary bond on Rondo's life.

The indictment exposes a series of incriminating actions, including the use of credit cards linked to OTF and Lil Durk to book one-way flights from Chicago to San Diego, as well as reservations at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City, California. Text messages exchanged between Lil Durk and one of the alleged hitmen hint at the calculated nature of the plot, including instructions to avoid booking flights under personal names.

As the investigation delves deeper into the events leading up to the murder, surveillance footage captures pivotal moments, such as Rondo and Robinson being trailed by the hitmen in vehicles before the fatal shooting at a gas station. The suspects allegedly opened fire on the victims before fleeing the scene and boarding a flight back to Chicago.

Following the arrests of Grant, Wilson, and Lindsey in Illinois, the FBI received a tip regarding Lil Durk's attempts to flee the country by booking international flights. Despite his failed travel plans, Lil Durk was apprehended at the Miami airport and remains in federal custody.

The unfolding legal proceedings paint a grim picture of a calculated and violent conspiracy orchestrated by Lil Durk and his associates. As the case advances, the truth behind this harrowing murder-for-hire plot continues to unravel in the United States District Court in Los Angeles. Stay informed as further details emerge in this ongoing investigation.
