Teen and Dad Arrested in Shooting Deaths of Pregnant Teen and Boyfriend: Narcotics-Related Deal Gone Wrong

In a tragic turn of events, Christopher Preciado, 19, and his father, Ramon Preciado, 53, have been arrested by San Antonio police in connection with the shooting deaths of 18-year-old Savanah Soto and her boyfriend Matthew Guerra. The young couple, who were expecting a child, were found dead in their car outside an apartment complex on December 26. This case has shocked the community, and police believe it was a narcotics-related deal that turned deadly.

The investigation took a significant step forward when Soto's cellphone was recovered, leading police to a possible location of the suspects. Surveillance footage had previously shown two persons of interest near the crime scene, with one suspect driving the victims' car and another driving a dark pickup truck.

Christopher Preciado has been charged with capital murder, while his father, Ramon Preciado, faces charges of abuse of a corpse. Police believe Christopher was responsible for killing the couple, with his father allegedly assisting in moving the bodies.

This arrest brings some closure to the Soto and Guerra families, and the police department extends its deepest condolences to them. With the suspects in custody, authorities have confirmed that they are no longer seeking any additional suspects in connection with this case.

It is a sobering reminder of the devastating consequences that can stem from involvement in illicit narcotics activities. The loss of two young lives, including an innocent unborn baby, serves as a tragic reminder of the need to combat drug-related crimes more vigorously. Our thoughts are with the families of the victims during this difficult time.
