A devastating incident unfolded at a Giant Eagle grocery store in North Olmsted, Ohio, where 3-year-old Julian Wood tragically lost his life and his mother, Margot, sustained injuries in a random attack. Reports indicate that the perpetrator, 32-year-old Bionca Ellis, allegedly used a kitchen knife in the assault.


The tragic event occurred on Monday afternoon, prompting a swift response from law enforcement. Despite the efforts of first responders and medical personnel at St. John Medical Center, Julian succumbed to stab wounds on his back and chest. Margot, the injured mother, received medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.


Following the incident, the North Olmsted police apprehended Ellis, who was reportedly still carrying the weapon used in the attack. Although Ellis has no known history of violent crime, she has been detained on a charge of aggravated murder and may face additional charges as the investigation progresses.


Amidst the shock and sorrow gripping the community, Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones extended her sympathies to the grieving Wood family, acknowledging the profound loss they have suffered.
