An Abilene man has been arrested on felony charges after police say he assaulted a 15-year-old, and the incident was caught on video and shared online. According to the Abilene Police Department, officers were dispatched Tuesday to an apartment complex in the 2900 block of Old Anson Road after receiving a call about a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers spoke with an adult male in the home who claimed everything was fine, leading officers to leave the scene.

Shortly after, police were called back to the exact location when another caller reported seeing a video of the disturbance that had been shared online. Detectives launched an investigation, which led to the arrest of 38-year-old Phillip Johnson. He was booked into the Taylor County Jail and is facing a third-degree felony charge of Assault Family Violence.

Authorities confirmed the 15-year-old victim sustained injuries during the incident, though the extent of those injuries has not been released. The case remains under investigation, and police have not disclosed additional details about the circumstances surrounding the assault or how the video was obtained.
