DETROIT, MICHIGAN — The search for missing 17-year-old London Thomas ended in heartbreak after authorities confirmed her body was discovered weeks after she vanished. Now, two suspects believed to be connected to her disappearance are in custody as the investigation moves forward.

London Thomas was last seen on April 5, 2025, after being dropped off at her boyfriend’s home on Carlysle Street in Inkster. Despite extensive searches by police, family, and volunteers, her body was tragically found on Saturday, April 26, in Southfield, near the area of 8 Mile and Telegraph.

The Michigan State Police, now leading the investigation, confirmed on Sunday that two individuals have been arrested in connection with London’s disappearance. Officials have not yet disclosed the specific circumstances surrounding her death, but emphasized that once the investigation concludes, the findings will be turned over to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

"Our condolences go out to the family and friends of London," said Michigan State Police F/Lt. Mike Shaw in a public statement. "While DPD and the FBI have completed most of the investigation, there is still work. Our number one goal is to bring justice for London and her family. We will not be releasing any further information on this investigation to accomplish this goal now."

London’s case quickly captured public attention as family, friends, and community members rallied to search for her. Early in the investigation, Detroit police, in collaboration with the FBI, executed multiple search warrants, including a thorough search of her boyfriend’s home in Inkster. Authorities had previously indicated they were investigating the possibility of foul play.

Sources confirmed that London's boyfriend is being treated as a person of interest in the case. However, police have not named him publicly or specified if he is among the two suspects in custody.

London Thomas was remembered by those who knew her as a vibrant and outspoken young woman with a kind heart. She had a deep love for music, fashion, and hairstyling, passions that those close to her say defined her spirit and future dreams.

As the community mourns, the Michigan State Police continues to piece together the final details of what happened to London. Officials have requested privacy for the family and urged the public to allow the investigation to unfold within the justice system.

This story remains developing as authorities work to ensure that justice for London Thomas is fully served.

Justice for Londons family. I'm praying for her family. It wouldn't surprise me if the boyfriend orchestrated this whole thing
