In a shocking incident in Georgia, a 65-year-old security guard, Janet Williams, at a senior living apartment complex is accused of brutally stabbing a 90-year-old resident, Chun Ki Kim, to death. Williams allegedly stabbed Kim over 50 times and tried to interfere with the murder investigation.
The Atlanta Police Department responded to a report of a person down at the facility where Kim was found with multiple stab wounds in his kitchen. Williams was identified as the suspect and taken into custody on a charge of felony murder. The arrest warrant revealed the gruesome details of the attack, with Kim stabbed in the face and midsection between 50 and 60 times. The victim was last seen entering the building and taking the elevator to the fifth floor before the tragic incident occurred.
In a bizarre turn of events, Williams attempted to involve herself in the investigation, demonstrating suspicious behavior captured on surveillance footage. She reportedly stayed in the area of Kimโs apartment, observed detectives at work, and even managed to access another apartment on the fifth floor where a resident had a Ring doorbell camera that could be pertinent to the case. Williams also inquired about evidence collected by the police and tried to gain insight into the investigation.
Although a motive for the attack remains unclear, Williams allegedly committed the heinous crime, as per the warrant for her arrest. Surveillance footage showed Williams taking the elevator to the fifth floor while wearing her security uniform, glasses, and a face mask, and later returning without the glasses or mask. She displayed signs of distress and a limp, with her clothing showing stains resembling blood.
